Detailed informantion about the Griffon Bruxellois Dog
A pert, monkey-like expression typifies the delightful Griffon Bruxellois of which there are two varieties — rough-coated and smooth - and both are heavy for their size. The smooth variety goes by the name Petit Brabancon and needs only regular grooming with a hound glove, while the rough coat requires stripping about twice a year. While in the UK all these small Griffons compete together, under FCI rules there are three separate breeds, of which the third is called the Belgian Griffon which is black with a rough coat. Although in Britain the color most frequently seen is red; black and black with rich tan are also found. |
